The Black Watch — now 3rd Battalion, Royal Regiment of Scotland — has been turning sightseeing into combat since 1739, earning its name from the dark tartan of the original Highland watch companies and its red hackle from three centuries of fighting wherever the Crown pointed it. The travel brochure tends to leave out the bit where you charge the locals.

DTG-printed apparel can be tumble-dried on a low cycle, but hang-dry works best. Do not iron the print.
