Own a Hand-Forged Zulu Iklwa – Crafted in South Africa

This is not a mass-produced display piece.

Each Iklwa is hand-forged to order in Johannesburg by Rutherford Forge (est. 2004), using traditional techniques and based directly on museum-preserved originals from the Anglo-Zulu War.

The result is a collector-grade historical reproduction, built with the same materials and proportions as the weapons carried by Zulu impis at Isandlwana and Rorke’s Drift.

The blade is forged from hardened spring steel with a raw, traditional finish.
The shaft is crafted from native hardwood (Matumi, Tamboti, or Kiaat), hand-fitted and copper-bound.

No two are identical.

This is a serious historical piece, ideal for collectors, enthusiasts, or anyone who wants a tangible connection to one of the most iconic conflicts in British military history.

DTG-printed apparel can be tumble-dried on a low cycle, but hang-dry works best. Do not iron the print.
